A Soldier’s Angels quilt still providing comfort after 10 years!

Recently, a wounded Veteran who received one of our quilts 10 years ago contacted us to share his gratitude and tell us that he is still using the quilt every day on his favorite chair!   He then sent us a picture of the quilt.

He told us that his whole world was turned upside down in a matter of seconds, 10 years ago, and the quilt made a big difference for him during some of the darkest moments in his life.

We were so touched by him sharing his thoughts that we decided to send him a “companion quilt” to go with the original quilt.

This also gave us an opportunity to thank him once again for all his service to our country. He should be receiving the “companion quilt” just in time for Veteran’s Day!!!!

We hope it will give him comfort and strength for many years to come.

The Groton Woman’s Club Soldier’s Angels group has been making quilts for critically wounded soldiers since 2007. Over 600 quilts have been distributed over the years.
